![]() ![]() The views are not great (flight seemed low, views of houses, the highway). On this milestone moment, we did not get one picture of us 3 together. There was no warning saying you may be separated from your party. Or, the company should book in size/capacity where parties could be together (2-3 person of the same party per basket). The company should have let those who arrived first/on time, load into the basket first. We showed up on time, waited for the late comers and they were able to enjoy the flight together and we did not. My sister, daughter and I had to split up into 3 different sections, away from each other. But, when loading into the basket, the 2 parties that were late (a couple and a party of 3) were able to secure a section for themselves. We showed up early as outlined in the itinerary. What completely ruined the experience for me was, we were there to celebrate my sister’s milestone birthday. Of course, we missed the sunrise which the other groups/vans that left on time got to experience. Once we finally arrived at the hot air ballon, we felt rushed since our van was late. We were told the driver had to fix the flat tire and the only reason a back up vehicle picked us up was because the driver couldn’t retrieve the tools from the trunk. I understand this is a circumstance that was out of anyone’s control. When we finally left, the van had a flat tire. We watched 2-3 other groups/vans leave on time while 7 of us, waited over 30 minutes for 5 late arrivals. The company quotes a strict time policy but will still wait for people who are late. We arrived at the airport at 5:30am as outlined in the itinerary. I was very excited for this experience so this should have been easy win. (See sample menus in Itinerary below.) You’ll receive a commemorative flight certificate and, if you opted for hotel transport, be dropped off in Phoenix to complete your tour. Then enjoy cuisine catered by the award-winning French-fusion restaurant, Vincent on Camelback. Upon landing, take part in a ballooning tradition by toasting your aerial tour with chilled Champagne. Exhilaration comes with the sunrise followed by a gourmet breakfast. ![]() During your breathtaking journey, peer out over the Phoenix valley and enjoy a panoramic vista above the impressive saguaros of the Sonoran Desert. Float with the wind on an airy ride at elevations as high as 5,000 feet (1,524 meters). You’ll feel almost motionless as your balloon gently leaves the ground, traveling at speeds of 5–6 mph (8–9.6 kph). Once the licensed pilot and experienced crew get your hot air balloon ready for flight, climb inside the basket for the approximate 1-hour ride. After hotel pickup in Phoenix, you’re transferred to Deer Valley Airport, or make your own way there at your chosen departure time.
